Skills Audit

Compared to my AS blog i feel that my blog now in A2 and research i have done has gotten better. However, i did learn many skills in AS such as using the JVC cameras, final cut pro and sound software's like garage band. For our AS coursework we had to create an opening to a thriller. My group chose to do a psychological thriller, therefore, my group only researched on this genre. 

However, during A2 we had a choice to chose any genre we wanted and the one rule we had was that the artist has to be British. This meant we had to research on artists, music genre's and what a music video involves. We were told to look at three different theories from Andrew Goodwin, Laura Mulvey and Carol Vernalis. This was a good starting oint for us however we had to do a lot of researching in our own time. Knowing that i was going to be doing a music video in A2 i started looking and listening to a lot more British artists over the summer. I really like Angel and has become really big over the summer and thought his songs were interesting so i sent an email asking for copyright clearance. I have been looking at various music video's using YouTube and also reading the comments to see what kind of audeince has enjoyed the song more. I have also been going onto different artists websites looking at the kinds of people who visit and write comments on them.
