Short-list of potential songs

During lesson we were given the task to choose a song. Below i have indicated the list of potential songs that me and my group were thinking to use. The potential songs i have illustrated tend to be fast, this was because it would be a much more interesting to film allowing us to get more shots and locations in. The songs which we choses as a group are also very creative meaning thart the locations used were interesting. When choosing our potential songs we had to make sure that they all targeted our audience which were young female teens.

Tulisa 'Young'

Above is the video of Tulisa ' young'. This video tends to be very fast paced, me and my group thought this would be a great video to film as we would be able to get in all the potential shots we would like to use and would also have the opportunity to experiment on the costumes. This would also fit in with our target audience well, as this song is related to people being young and what normal teenagers tend to get up to in there spare time. 

Gathering images from both british artists Tulisa and Chipmunk ft Chris Brown aloud me to see the different shots they use. In the first video there tend to be a lot of long shots, these are used frequently to show the location used most locations are of the main artist having fun as that is what being 'young' is all about. The lightening is also bright to enhance the mood effectively. However in the second video it is very dark and gives the connotation that it is aimed at our target market 'young teens' as we see that the way the characters dress link with people in todays age. Long shots are also used frequently to represent the locations used well making the audience build up the story whilst listening.

Angel ft Wretch 32

Angel was an artist that caught most members attention in my group, the reason for this was the idea that the song it self was very catchy and caught our attention fast. The song was also very fast paced, having various camera shots and edits which us want to see more. Below i have gathered a brainstorm of the songs in which Angel has stared in which was later on discussed in our group as we though one of his songs would be a good potential song

Doing this task helped us look at the different music videos that are out in our industry and see the differences they all use and what they have in common in order to conclude what song we wanted to do
