PRODUCTION- KingsCross/ Party scene

PRODUCTION- KingsCross/ Party scene
Kings cross (granary square) was another location where we decided to film. This location was also an idea we had to film a party scene. As a group we decided to film this location at night as when we had researched this it looked very nice as we see the lights were on making it look more fun and suited our theme really well. We had to think carefully about this scene as the lights came on around 5 o clock so we made sure that the people who were at the scene came at that time. When collecting the cameras we made sure we had the lights so that we were able to see our main artist during the dark.
The lights were very affective at night as when they were on they lighted up with different colours. The colours were bright mostly reds blues and also yellows. When filming the lights we were given to use only lasted 15 mins so we had to make sure when we did use them we knew when and where we were going to use them. The lights when we put them on were powerful but didn't reach where we wanted it to go this changed our idea as the artist wasn't seen when he was singing so we therefore decided this wouldn't be the best idea for a base rack as lightening is important.
The water was very high and looked really nice when the bright colours came on we were able to see the artist more clearly as it reflected on his face. When filming at kings cross we had to make sure that people who came brought a change of cloths as the water was cold and the scene involved people getting wet.  This scene also links well with our song/ music video as our storyline is based on  people having fun and the colours represented this well below i have presented a slideshow on photo bucket to illustrate the images we took of the water and some of our actors.
Below i have clearly illustrated some of the stills we took with the camera at granary square you can clearly see the coloured lights on the water and the effect it gave. This was fun as we were able to play around with the performer and also get really good shots.
