PRODUCTION: Edit- Using Final cut inserting footage

EDIT- Using Final cut inserting footage
Final cut was the software we used when strting to edit our music video, the first step we had to do was to transfer all of the clips which we had filmed onto the video drive into folders which indicated clearly the locations where we had filmed. Doing this made us more organised so that when looking for clips in the locations we were able to find them easily. We had to transfer some of the footage onto my laptop as no space was left on the memory card when we were filming which we had to also transfer onto the video drive. Once all the clips were inserted into there correct folders we then as a group started picking the ones which we thought were good and  highlighters them in orange.

When looking at the clips we had a lot which were the same 'duplicates' as a group we took a lot of time deciding those which were essential and those which were not needed we thought a good idea would be to highlight the clips which we needed as it helped us see where we were at and which ones will go well with out music video. When selecting the clips it also helped us see how many we were planning to use where we then had to narrow them down. Wd had done this with every location narrowing down the footage we took and only highlighting the ones which were important.
Once we had decided the clips we wanted to use we then imported them onto final cut ready to start dragging them into there places and ready to edit.
