Music Video Remake AS
The AS video remake task was very interesting and fun, when doing the remake for the original song MR.C The slide man , this was a task in where i was able to gain the additional skills from learning how to lip sync etc. Whilst doing this task i also felt i learnt a lot as i was able to discuss with my group how we were planning to do a similar music video to this song in particular. When creating the original song we had to be organised meaning we needed to have a story board that clearly stated what pasts we were going to film. This was important as i learnt through the AS year that having a story board sets out clear instructions preparing us to when we are going to film.
Once we had completed the step by step story board we then took the equipment needed to go out and film. The locations in which we had used were bright scenes to suit the atmosphere of the music as the tone was very upbeat. The 3 main locations used were the park, hallway and outside college.
Above i have illustrated a picture board of the parts in which we had filmed, linked with the original version. Most of the scenes we filmed linked very well but could be done with some improvement.
Overall to conclude this task done at the end of AS helped me gain some skills needed in preparation for the A2 course. This task i enjoyed as i liked working with my group members and helping them learn the moves to the song. Although this project was completed during a short period i think that what we produced wasn't bad, but in the A2 course i would take all the weaknesses from this into consideration.
