Production- Permission to use granary square

When filming at granary square we were stopped and were asked to sign a piece of paper which was for our own safety. The piece of paper included us filing out information about the time we will be filming to and also the purpose of the footage which will be taken. Once we had finished signing the paper we were then aloud to start filming.

The main reason why we were told to fill our the form was for our safety. Once telling the security our main purpose of filming he seemed reasonable and therefore aloud us to continue what we were doing. Questions included:

• Contact details
• Use of footage (college use)
• When we started filming
• How long it will take us to film (finishing time)
• Name of college we attended 
• Signature

Production- filming the roof scene

Today i went up to do a base track on our college roof. I was able to get two base tracks including a close up and a mid shot. It was very cold but Montell still did a good job. I was up there with a member of staff who took pictures whilst i was filming.

Planning - Change of location

We couldn't shoot our party scene at platform because it was booked during the whole week. From the new selection we looked at as a group we decided that we should film the scene at Lima's house. Filming at her house also means we wont have to book and pay for a place to film. We thought that staging the party would look better than throwing a real one. This way our friends will be more aware of the occasion and know that it is for our media coursework. The room we plan to film in isn't too small so we think it will look ok.

Planning: Change in location

We were unable to film at Platform on a day during the half-term holiday because it was booked however we were told we could use it for 30 minutes for two days. We didn't want to this so we thought we'd change our location. A few places we looked were other places like Platform (Lift), Clubs and other places with space.

The first place which is called Lift had two interested places. Below is an image of a room they have and a roof top terrace. 

 The second place we thought looked good is a place called LadyBug in Angel. The throw a few parties and allow people to book the place to throw parties.

Research: Angel Youtube

 Below are screen shots taken from Youtube, which show how the artist is being promoted and i also included some of the comments. By look at the like/dislike bar we can see that many people have enjoyed this song. It has over 3 million views which is good for an upcoming artist. Below his music video show link to Angel's website, Twitter and Facebook. It also has links where you can download his singles and albums.

These comments show many people have enjoyed the music video and things they liked about it such as the chorus or beat. By looking at their accounts i can see that it is mainly teenagers that comment which could also show they enjoy the song.

Research: Angel promoting himself

Below is a screen shot Of Angel's twitter page and two tweets dedicated to him. His twitter page clearly promotes his new album from the background which shows his latest album cover. It also includes his logo which he uses on his website and has a tattoo of it on his chest. This is a way for people and his fans to recognize him. The background also includes links to his website, facebook and vevo page. 

The two tweets that i have included show ways in which Angel also uses Twitter to promote himself. one of the tweets was tweeted from a Mobo awards account. It reads that Angel will be able to take over their account n order to answer questions from his fans. This is a great way for an artist to promote themselves because he is being advertised in a way from other accounts who may have more followers therefore more people can view the tweet and share it. It also say's that Angel will be giving out free tickets to his concert, this is a good way to promote his concerts. plus, people will get involved to try and win these tickets.
The second tweet i have used was tweeted from a Republic.co.uk account. It mentions facebook which is another social website many teenagers use and tells us how the have teamed up with Angel. This will help Angel get more likes on Facebook because it tells a wide audience that he has a facebook page. Also, we see that a lucky person will be winning something so people are likely to go and view the facebook page.

Production - Re-shooting Kings Cross

Lima was at Granary square one night and found out that the fountains we went to film at look much nicer during the night because they have lights so we decided to re-shoot these scenes and make them into a night scene. The fountains did look much nicer and bright, plus they kept changing into different patterns which was really nice.
